Host a harvest feast or prepare a special meal. Give thanks for everything you've manifested this year.
Origins & Folklore
The Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, rising soon after sunset for several nights in a row—providing extra light for farmers working late to bring in crops. This phenomenon made it the most celebrated moon in agricultural societies worldwide. The Celts celebrated Mabon, the second harvest festival, honoring the Green Man and the balance of light and dark. In China, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on this moon, with families sharing mooncakes and giving thanks. The Greek Thesmophoria honored Demeter, goddess of harvest, during this period. This moon teaches that the best harvests come to those who planted with intention and tended with care.

Guided Meditation
Envision yourself in a golden field at twilight, the Harvest Moon rising enormous and orange on the horizon. All around you are the fruits of your labor—whatever form they take in your life. Touch each one with gratitude. Fill a basket with symbols of what you've harvested this year. Feel the satisfying weight of it in your hands. This abundance is yours because you cultivated it.
“I gratefully receive the harvest of my intentions.”
