Taro's Tarot data study · April to September 2026
What People Ask the Tarot
We looked at 34,212 tarot readings that 2,095 people saved to their Taro's Tarot accounts between April and September 2026. 71.3% of them asked the cards about love at least once; 22.1% asked about work or money. Many people reach Taro's Tarot through love-reading pages (for example "does he miss me" readings), so love is probably a bigger share here than among tarot readers in general. Below is what they asked, counted from the category each question was given when the reading was made. No one's question is published, quoted or shared.
Key findings
- 71.3% of people asked at least one love question; 22.1% asked at least one about career or money.
- Love was 43.1% of all 31,189 typed questions; career was 5.2%.
- Among the 1,493 people who asked about love, the most common specific worry was the other person's feelings: 25.7% asked whether someone misses them, thinks about them or how they feel.
- 20.2% of them asked about getting back together. Cheating and trust (8.8%) and being ghosted (4.3%) came up far less.
- 91.2% of readings started with a question the person typed themselves.

How we counted
- Period: readings saved between 2026-04-01 and 2026-09-30 (UTC).
- Who: 2,095 people with a Taro's Tarot account, 34,212 readings (31,189 with a typed question). Readings by visitors without an account are stored only in their browser and are not included. Our own test accounts are excluded. This describes people who use Taro's Tarot, not all tarot readers. Many of them arrive through our love-reading pages, which pushes the love share up.
- Categories come from the site's own keyword rules, applied to each question when the reading was made. "Other" is the share our rules could not place. Love themes come from the same rules; a love question with none of the theme keywords counts as love with no specific theme.
- Per-person figures count each person once per category or theme if they asked at least one such question. Readings per person: median 4, with the most active 10% of people making 71% of all readings.
- Not comparable month to month: we changed the keyword rules during the period (the "how do they feel" and named-partner rules on 1 September, the ghosting theme in April, stay-or-leave in July), so we report the six months together and make no trend claims. We cannot compare with 2025: too few readings from that period are stored.
- Times: we do not store anyone's time zone, so we do not report times of day. The CSV includes love share by UTC day of week; it barely changes from day to day.
- Privacy: nobody's question, name or email was read for this study beyond setting a yes/no "typed a question" flag, and nothing that could identify a person is published. Any figure based on fewer than 50 readings is withheld.
