How to read two tarot cards together
A single card gives you a theme. Two cards give you a story. The calculator looks at the same things an experienced reader does: whether the cards share an element or clash (fire and water pull against each other, fire and air feed each other), whether their core meanings reinforce or contradict, and which card is doing the talking — a Major Arcana card usually sets the scene and the Minor card says how it plays out day to day.

Reading three cards
With three cards the calculator gives you all three pairs. Read the outer pair first (cards 1 and 3) for the overall arc, then see how the middle card changes each side. When two of the three pairs agree and one dissents, the dissenting card is normally the advice.

How does the tarot combination calculator work?
Choose two or three cards from the 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck. The calculator reads each pair together — how their elements interact, whether the energy is harmonious or in tension, and what that means for love, work and a yes/no question — then links you to the full page for that pairing.
Can I combine three tarot cards?
Yes. With three cards the calculator reads all three pairs (cards 1+2, 1+3 and 2+3). That is how readers actually work a three-card spread: the middle card usually shifts the meaning of the pair on either side of it.
Does the order of the cards matter?
For the combined meaning, no — the Lovers and the Tower means the same as the Tower and the Lovers. Order matters in a positional spread (past, present, future), so if you drew the cards in a spread, read the pair meanings here and then apply the positions yourself.
What about reversed cards?
Each full combination page has a reversed section covering what changes when one or both cards appear upside down. The calculator shows the upright pairing first, then links you there.
