Your chart is computed to the degree from astronomical tables — then the reading is written for your placements, not your Sun sign. Free, and honest below about what it can and cannot do.
AI astrology is two things joined in the right order. First, a birth chart calculated by an astronomical ephemeris — every planet, the ascendant and the houses placed to the degree for your birth time and place. That step is arithmetic and no AI touches it. Second, an interpretation written by a language model that reads your placements together, rather than handing you ten unconnected paragraphs. The chart is as accurate as any astrologer's software. The reading is a synthesis, not a conversation.
Every one calculates first and interprets second
The full chart — every planet, house and aspect, interpreted.
Sun, Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, Mars — the core of the chart.
Your emotional core, calculated from date and time.
Two charts compared — real planet-to-planet aspects.
The order of operations is the whole thing
Date, time and place. Time matters for the rising sign and houses; the date alone gives you the planets.
An astronomical ephemeris places every planet to the degree. No AI is involved in this step — it is arithmetic.
A language model synthesises your placements and aspects into one reading, written for your chart.
Use the chat to go deeper on any placement — that is where AI astrology genuinely earns its keep.
Why the order matters: a general chatbot asked for your birth chart has no ephemeris. It will estimate your Sun sign from the date, guess the Moon, and cannot compute a rising sign at all — then write confidently about placements it invented. If a tool cannot show you the degree of your ascendant, it did not calculate it.
Split into the part that is and the part that is not
One card to guide your week — tarot wisdom in your inbox every Sunday.
The real split is not which model — it is whether there is an ephemeris behind it
ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest can discuss astrology fluently — they have read every astrology book there is.
But they have no astronomical tables. Ask one for your chart and it estimates the Sun from your date, guesses the Moon, and cannot place your ascendant at all. Then it writes with total confidence about placements it made up. Fluent, and wrong at the foundation.
The chart is computed first, from a real ephemeris, to the degree. The interpretation starts from placements that are actually yours.
Then the AI does what it is genuinely good at — reading the whole chart as one person and answering specific questions about it. That is the setup here, and the chat is where to take the follow-ups.
“Astrology has always been two crafts: the calculation and the reading. The first was done by hand for two thousand years and by software for fifty. A machine doing the second is new — and it is only worth anything if the first was done properly.”
