Origins & Folklore
The Strawberry Moon takes its name from the Algonquin tribes who knew June as the time to harvest wild strawberries. In Europe, this moon is called the Rose Moon or Honey Moonโthe latter giving us the word "honeymoon," as June was traditionally the most popular month for weddings. The summer solstice falls near this moon, making it sacred for midsummer celebrations across many cultures. Celts celebrated Litha, honoring the sun at its peak power. In ancient Rome, this was the festival of Vesta, goddess of hearth and home. The Strawberry Moon reminds us that life's sweetest moments are fleeting and meant to be savored.

What sweetness in your life have you been taking for granted?
How can you deepen the love in your closest relationships?
What passion has been waiting for you to pursue it?
Where do you need to slow down and savor the moment?
What first fruits of your efforts are you ready to enjoy?
Guided Meditation
Imagine biting into a perfectly ripe strawberryโits sweetness bursting on your tongue, juice running down your chin. Now expand this sensation throughout your body, feeling sweetness and joy in every cell. Recall a moment of pure happiness. Let that feeling grow until you're filled with the warm, rosy glow of contentment. Carry this sweetness with you when you open your eyes.
โI savor the sweetness of life and love.โ
