A stellium is a cluster of three or more planets in one sign or one house of your birth chart. When that much of the chart sits in one place, that sign's qualities or that house's area of life becomes a strong theme. Someone with a Capricorn stellium tends to show it in ambition and discipline; someone with a 7th house stellium tends to grow through partnerships.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move slowly, so people born within a year or two of each other share them. A stellium made mostly of those three is common to a whole generation; one that includes the Sun, Moon or personal planets says more about you.
Drive and independence
Several parts of you want to start things, act quickly and do it your own way. You have energy to spare; the work is patience and finishing what you begin.
Steadiness and the senses
Much of your chart wants security, comfort and things that last. You are persistent and loyal; the work is staying open to change you did not choose.
Ideas and talk
Many planets in Gemini make curiosity a central drive: reading, talking, connecting ideas and people. The work is focus and following one thread to the end.
Home and belonging
Family, home and emotional safety sit near the centre of your life. You care deeply and remember everything; the work is not retreating when you feel hurt.
Self-expression
A lot of you wants to create, lead and be seen for who you are. You are warm and generous; the work is not needing applause to feel worthwhile.
Skill and service
You are built to notice details, improve systems and be useful. Craft and health matter; the work is being as kind to yourself as you are careful.
Relationships and fairness
Much of your chart is oriented to other people: partnership, balance and getting along. The work is knowing your own opinion before you weigh everyone else's.
Depth and intensity
You feel things fully and want the truth underneath. Trust, privacy and transformation run through your life; the work is letting people in without testing them.
Meaning and freedom
Many planets here make you a seeker: travel, study, belief and big questions. You are honest and hopeful; the work is commitment to the ordinary next step.
Ambition and structure
A lot of you wants to build something real and be responsible for it. You are disciplined and patient; the work is rest and not measuring your worth by output.
Independence and community
You think for yourself and care about groups, causes and the future. You are original; the work is staying emotionally present with the people closest to you.
Imagination and compassion
Much of your chart is sensitive, intuitive and creative. You feel what others feel; the work is boundaries, so compassion does not turn into exhaustion.
Your energy goes into who you are and how you show up. Personal goals and independence take a lot of your attention.
Income, possessions, skills and self-worth are where much of your life plays out.
Talking, writing, short trips, siblings and your local world are busy and important for you.
Home, roots and family shape a great deal of your life, often more than your public role.
Play, creative work, romance and, for some, children are where you put much of your energy.
Daily routines, the work you do and how you look after your body take a lot of your focus.
One-to-one relationships, in love and in business, are central. You often grow through other people.
Deep bonds, shared money, trust and big life changes are major themes for you.
Study, travel, philosophy and faith pull at you. You look for meaning and the bigger picture.
Your public life, career and ambitions take up much of your energy and attention.
Friendships, groups, networks and shared causes are where much of your life happens.
Much of your chart works behind the scenes: solitude, the inner life, spirituality and helping quietly.
A stellium is a group of three or more planets in the same sign or the same house. So much of the chart in one place makes that sign's style, or that house's area of life, a major theme for the person.
Most astrologers use three. Some are stricter and ask for four, or for three planets that are also close together in degrees. This calculator lets you switch between three and four planets.
This calculator counts the Sun, the Moon and the eight planets from Mercury to Pluto. It does not count the lunar nodes, Chiron, asteroids or the Ascendant. Some astrologers count fewer outer planets because Uranus, Neptune and Pluto stay in one sign for years and are shared by everyone born around the same time.
Not for most of the chart. Your birth date fixes the Sun and the planets from Mercury outwards; only the Moon moves fast enough to change sign during the day. If any planet could have changed sign on your birth date, the result tells you. Houses need your birth time and city.
Many charts have none. It means your planets are spread out, so no one sign or house dominates. The result shows your busiest sign anyway.
A sign stellium shows a style that runs through you, such as Capricorn ambition or Pisces sensitivity. A house stellium shows an area of life where your energy goes, such as career or relationships. This calculator uses whole sign houses, counted from the sign of your Ascendant.
