Manifesting Generator

Projector
Guides with a focused, absorbing aura. Strategy: Wait for the invitation. About 20% of the population. Signature: Success. Not-Self: Bitterness.
Reflectors (~1%) have no defined centers and mirror their environment. Their strategy is to wait a full 28-day lunar cycle before making major decisions.
Understanding Authority
Your Authority is your personal decision-making compass. While your mind processes information, your Authority tells you which body intelligence to trust for correct decisions:
- Emotional: Wait for your emotional wave to settle before deciding — there is no truth in the now
- Sacral: Trust your gut response — the immediate "uh-huh" or "un-un"
- Splenic: Trust the first intuitive hit — quiet, spontaneous knowing in the moment
- Ego / Self-Projected / Mental: Rarer authorities tied to the Heart, G Center, or environment
What is a Profile?
Your Profile is derived from the line numbers of your Conscious (Personality) Sun and Unconscious (Design) Sun. It describes your costume in life — how you engage with the world and learn. There are 12 possible profiles, from the investigative 1/3 to the wise 6/3 Role Model.
What is Definition?
Definition describes how the defined centers in your Bodygraph connect to each other: Single (one continuous circuit — self-contained processing), Split (two separate areas — clarity often comes through the right people), Triple Split (three areas — varied environments help you integrate), or Quadruple Split (four areas — the rarest, needing extra time for decisions). Reflectors have no definition at all.
What is Your Incarnation Cross?
Your Incarnation Cross is your life purpose in Human Design — the theme you are here to live out. It is formed by four gates: your Personality Sun and Earth, and your Design Sun and Earth. Together with your Profile, these determine one of 192 crosses across three angles: Right Angle (a personal destiny), Juxtaposition (a fixed fate, only for 4/1 profiles), and Left Angle (a transpersonal destiny lived through your encounters with others).
How This Calculator Works
Our Human Design calculator uses astronomical algorithms to compute precise planetary positions at two key moments: your birth (Personality / Conscious) and exactly 88 solar degrees before birth (Design / Unconscious). Each of the 13 celestial bodies — Sun, Earth, Moon, Nodes, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — is mapped to one of the 64 gates on the Rave Mandala. The resulting gate activations determine your defined channels, centers, Type, Authority, Profile, Definition, and Incarnation Cross.
Why Birth Time and Birth City Matter
The Moon changes gates roughly every 10 hours, and its line every couple of hours. An inaccurate birth time may give you incorrect gate activations, which can change your defined channels, centers, and even your Type or Authority. Your birth city matters too — it tells us which timezone your birth time was recorded in, so the planetary positions are computed for the true moment of your birth. Check your birth certificate for the most accurate results.

Why does a Human Design calculator ask for my birth city?
Planetary positions in Human Design are geocentric, so your location does not change where the planets were — but it tells the calculator which timezone your birth time was recorded in. Without it, a birth time of 14:30 in Los Angeles would be read as 14:30 UTC, which is 6-8 hours off and can move the Moon and faster planets into different gates, potentially changing your channels, Type, or Authority.

Your Incarnation Cross is your life theme or purpose, formed by the four gates of your Personality Sun/Earth and Design Sun/Earth.
